It’s that time of year, and time for CoffeeMate’s first annual gift guide!
I’ve rounded up things on my personal wish list, things I’ve bought in the past and some unique new finds for the coffee lover in your life (or yourself)!

Without further ado, here’s your caffeinated gift guide to kick off the new year right:

Home
Coffee Tea Towel (ha)
  • For the chef!
Blue Bottle Cupping Spoon
  • For the serious cupper in your life.
Reusable K-cups
  • For the one chained to a commute. I bought these for the office when Keurig was my only option for a second cup of coffee -- works well, but be careful how much ground coffee you put in the pod and watch your grind size!
Thank You Cards
  • For the courteous networker. I have a set of adorable coffee mug-shaped thank you cards I use whenever appropriate!
Gooseneck Kettle
  • Electric
    • Some people are picky about the kettle being electric (not me), others require electric (also not me) due to an electric range (I’ve been there, heating up a traditional kettle on an electric stove SUCKS).
  • Standard
    • I own this standard metal/wood gooseneck from World Market, but there’s hundreds of options for style here, and if you have a gas range, you don’t need anything more than this!
Coffee Makeup/ETC. Pouch
  • For the organized.
SCA Coffee Tasting Notes Poster
  • For the serious taster, aspiring blogger, barista, addict -- you name it.
Coffee Scrub
  • For the self-care lover.

Wardrobe
Socks
  • Ya gotta own novelty coffee socks if you call yourself a coffee lover.
Coffee Bean Necklace
  • I’ve owned the gold necklace since I first fell in love with coffee 10 years ago!!! It’s held up quite nicely with only some slight fading on the back of the bean (since it’s sitting against your skin), but mind you, I’m corny af so I wore it almost daily for about six years when I was a barista. (AKA lots of wear & tear)
Onyx Coffee Long Sleeve Tee
  • For the woke coffee lover. This one is on my personal wish list, but Onyx has so much cool merch that I highly recommend checking out everything else, too.
Minimalist Coffee Hoodie
  • For the minimalist who cares about form + function. I own this design on a baseball shirt, and loveeee it. It’s held up over the ~5 years I’ve owned, also. No fading, holes, etc.

Coffee
Ember 2.0
  • For the slow coffee drinker (me!). The newest Ember (metallic) mugs are gorgeous! The copper one would be on my wish list if I didn’t already own one :)
Collapsible Travel Mug
  • For the space-conscious, minimalist, clean freak or just life hack lover (ehem, me, all of the above).
Single-Origin Cold Brew Sampler
  • For the cold brew lover who’s adventurous.
Coffee Advent Calendar
  • For the experimenter! This is a list of different advent calendars curated by Sprudge, but I’d go for Onyx or KaffeBox as a gift. (NOTE: Order ASAP!)
Flair Espresso Maker
  • I know what you’re thinking at first glance. But don’t worry -- it’s NOT a normal thousand-dollar espresso machine, just look at it (and it’s under $200)! (I think John is getting this for me for Christmas… so I’ll let ya know how I like it, but I think this is the coolest frickin invention)
Gift a Coffee Subscription
  • For the one who’s always running out of coffee! If you read my blog post on the future of coffee shops, you know my favorite coffee subscription is Crema.co, so obviously I recommend them first.
  • But Matchbook Coffee Project is also a really cool, unique coffee subscription you should check out, too.
  • And an up-and-coming sub. box, Espresso Yourself, you should check out for the self-care-conscious coffee lover in your life!
Gift a Single Coffee
  • If you only choose one coffee, choose this one. In my eyes, it’s “coffee of the year” (because we long for it, not because it mirrors it -- oh boy that’d be foul).

Hope this gave you some non-cliché gift ideas for the coffee lover in your life. I know there are several things listed here on my own wish list!

Happy Holidays!

Stay healthy, jolly + caffeinated ☕
