Autumn E. Skinner
Autumn grew up a creative kid; always writing, sketching and playing music. At age 16 she discovered her greatest passion, coffee, and at 22 she realized her strongest calling: writing.
In 2017 "CoffeeMate," a coffee blog, was born. After six years as a barista Autumn continued her blog with the purpose of it evolving to be a guide to LA roasters and coffee shops. CoffeeMate also serves as a product review hub, a coffee knowledge center and more.
In 2020, Autumn's boyfriend John started a tiki blog, Wayward Spirits, housing tiki cocktail recipes, bar reviews and travel guides. Check it out and follow him on Instagram @WaywardSpiritsLA.
When she's not working or writing a new blog post, Autumn loves to watch Frasier, play guitar and read about life hacks.
Autumn always gives credit where credit's due, back to her first job at Wegmans, where she learned excellent customer service, developed her love for coffee and discovered her knack for communication.
Work & Education
Autumn recently accepted a position with RPA, where she works as a digital strategy specialist. Her main clients are La-Z-Boy and Cedars-Sinai, for whom she writes creative briefs, concepts social media posts and strategizes big-picture and long term goals, brand identity and more.
Autumn graduated from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), class of 2018, with a BA in journalism & public relations and received the highest department honor of Most Outstanding PR Major. She's now a guest speaker/panelist for her former chapter's PRSSA, lending post-grad advice and insights to students.
At 12 years old, Autumn got her first point-and-shoot camera as a birthday present from her dad. She took pictures of everything she found beautiful in some form.
When she was in school for graphic design, armed with a Nikon D5000, she was doing commissioned portraits regularly, taking day trips to NYC for street photography and still finding beauty in life's everyday occurrences.
Her most recent commissioned work was photographing a yacht wedding in Marina Del Rey, Calif. in 2017.
